Outdoors, guests have complete use of a children’s play-ground, a barbecue, a private car park and a tennis court. The owner herself runs the Residence, and will do her best to make your holiday on the Island of Elba as wonderful as possible.
The residence is in a strategic position, just a few minutes drive away from the Medieval town of Capoliveri, one of the best known towns on the Island, and without a doubt very popular among tourists from all over Europe. It is also very well known both for its characteristic, small shops in the picturesque alleys and its renowned restaurants that specialize in local, exquisite cuisine.
During the summer, the town offers interesting evenings of cultural, musical and historical interest.
The guided tours to the museums and iron mines that are held both in summer and in winter are particularly interesting. The coastline area of Capoliveri has many picturesque inlets.
The following beaches are only a few minutes drive from the Residence Fiorenzo:
Lido di Capoliveri: a beautiful sandy beach inside the Golfo Stella on the south west side of the Island . Thanks to the numerous bathing establishments and facilities to be found there - bars, boat rental, sailing and surfing schools, free and toll parking from one end to the other of this more than 400 meter long beach – it is very popular among teenagers and families with small children.
On the right side of the beach you can still see some military fortifications dating back to World War II.
On the right hand side, there are the two small, dreamlike beaches of Felciaio and Acquarilli.
On the other hand, if you head towards Capoliveri, you will see the smaller, but very suggestive beaches of Zuccale and Barabarca.
Zuccale: this beach is about 200 meters long and consists of fine sand and rocks; here the water is crystal clear.
Barabarca: this sandy beach is just below Capoliveri, on the south west side of the island. It is approximately 100 meters long, with untouched Mediterranean bush behind it, and here you can admire the crystal clear water as well as spectacular sunsets. There are bathing establishments and car parks at both beaches.
Some of the many other beaches on the western coast below the town of Capoliveri are Stecchi and Madonna delle Grazie, while at those in the nearby Marina di Capoliveri (Gulf of Mola), and Porto Azzurro, you will find a berth with buoys and a landingplace, where you can also hire motor boats.
There is a supermarket a fishmonger’s, a bar/tobacconist’s, a bank, a general store and a petrol station near the residence. For those who wish to visit the smaller islands of the Tuscan Archipelago round Elba, there are organized, daily boat trips.
